How to backup a DVD
1.
Open
the program DVDDecryptor. This window should appear:

![]()

2.
In
the Source, your DVD-ROM should be displayed, if not, select it from the drop
down list.
3.
In
the destination section, click on the little folder icon and select the destination
where you want your files to be copied.
4.
And
then click on the button with the picture of the DVD disc –> Hard drive.
5.
This
process should take about 30 minutes depending on the length of the movie. You
will know when the process is done when you see this screen

6.
Click
Ok on that screen and exit the DVDDecrypter program.
7.
Go
into the folder that you specified in step 3 to see if all the files are really
there. You should have 1 IFO file and lots of VOB files.
8.
If
everything’s seems to be ok, you shall continue to the next step which is to
open the program DVD2AVI. The program looks like this:

9.
Go
to the File menu and click on Open.
10.Browse to the folder you specified in step 3 and
double click on the first .VOB file you see. For example (VTS_01_1.VOB).
11.Next, you will have a window that will appear that
looks like this:

12.Just click on OK on that window
13.The size of the window in step 8 will get bigger. It
will take the size of the DVD movie. Below I will put print screens of how all
the settings should be set to.

14.When all of these setting are set, you can go on
with the next step which is to extract the sound and the video in 2 different
files. You can do so by clicking on the file menu and then on Save Project.
15.In the Save As dialog box, choose the same directory
as in step 3 (so you don’t get confused to where you saved all the files), and
type a file name in the File name: text box and click on the Save button. My
suggestion for a file name is the title of the movie plus DVD Nackte
Frauen (ex.:
TheGodfatherPart1). This process should take between 1.5 to 3 hours depending
on the length of the movie.
16.When you see Finish in the Status section of the
Statistics Window, close the program DVD2AVI and then continue with step 17.
